Naan Pizza’s


These simple naan bread pizzas are perfect for a weeknight meal or a lazy Sunday dinner. Baked with delicious homemade pizza sauce. Toppings? Whatever you have on hand!

Topping idea’s pictured:

cheddar

feta

zucchini

tomato

mini pepperoni

red onion


Ingredients for sauce:

Makes 1 batch (enough for approximately 6 pizzas). Save in fridge for 2-3 days or freeze in an airtight ziploc for months!


2 tbsp Olive Oil

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried basil

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tbsp white sugar

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 cup crushed tomatoes (or tomato Passata)

Salt to taste


Method

Heat olive oil in a pot over medium low

Add garlic and sauté for one minute, stirring frequently

Add dried spices and stir until fragrant

Add tomato paste and sugar and cook for another minute

Add tomatoes, cover and cook for 15 minutes on low. Remove the lid and allow to thicken over medium low heat. Remove from heat and cool slightly


Assemble Pizzas

Naan > sauce > cheese > toppings > voila!


Bake at 400 degrees until crust is golden brown and cheese is fully melted, approximately 10 minutes
