Easy Pickled Red Onions


Ingredient:


  • 5 small red onions, peeled and chopped into slices

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 cup distilled vinegar

  • 2 tsp sea salt

  • 6 tbsp sugar (can substitute for honey)

  • 2 tbsp black peppercorns



Method:

  1. peel and chop onions into slices

  2. soak onions in a bowl with boiling water for 5 minutes

  3. prepare mixture— mix water, vinegar, salt, sugar, and pepper

  4. transfer onions and the prepared mixture into a 1 litre mason Jar

  5. refrigerate and serve when cold — top your toast, burgers, salad or pretty much anything you want! Enjoy!
